Library seeks input on accessible outdoor project

Answer a few questions on our survey to provide your thoughts.

Through the “Libraries Transforming Communities” program, offered by the American Library Association, the Huntington City-Township Public Library has received $10,000 in grant funding for an accessible outdoor space. Part of this grant process involves asking community members for their input on what they’d like to see happen with this project.

Library staff has been working on developing and envisioning the project: a revamped south patio (old Market Street entrance) that is accessible for people of all ages, with ADA accessible seating and fun activities that engage our community and invite everyone to gather and use our space, centrally located at the library.

The public is also invited to a community conversation about the accessibility space, Thursday, October 12 at 6 p.m., where staff will take questions and ask for your feedback in-person. Light refreshments will be served. Click here for details.
