Forks of the Wabash Historic Park

Stop by the Forks of the Wabash to experience the uneasy era of the 1840′s and the story of the interaction between the Miami Indian nation, the European settlers, and the American government in the Wabash Valley.  Take a tour of the many restored dwellings, including the Nuck Log House,  the School House, and the Chief’s House, former primary home of Miami Chief Francis Lafontaine.

Huntington County Historical Museum

The Huntington County history exhibits include Miami Indians, French fur traders, early settlers, the Wabash Canal, Indian artifacts, Bechstein Drug Store, the Hotel LaFontaine, Schaff Piano Company, the Buildings on the Bridge, and an extensive and authentic outhouse collection, and MUCH more.

Sunken Gardens

Huntington’s beautiful and unusual Sunken Gardens and Shakespeare Gardens are located on West Park Drive and were constructed on the remnants of an old stone quarry between 1923 and 1928. The Sunken Gardens features various plantings, fishponds and graceful fieldstone footbridges over its U-shaped lily ponds.

Huntington University’s Merillat Centre for the Arts

The Merillat Centre for the Arts houses a large auditorium, a recital hall and an intimate studio theater where performances such as musicals, plays and concerts are shown throughout the year. The Robert E. Wilson Gallery showcases exhibits from students, faculty and the community including the annual Juried Student Art Exhibit.

The New Huntington Theatre and Supper Club

Visit The New Huntington Theatre and Supper Club to experience professional, live musical theatre and cabaret in downtown Huntington. The Supper Club has been playing to sold-out houses and earning rave reviews from audiences as far away as Indianapolis and Chicago. Guests of The Supper Club enjoy a fine meal followed by a original show featuring professional singers and musicians.

The Pulse Opera House

The Pulse Opera House in Warren, Indiana’s oldest operating historic opera house, was built in 1884 and is still entertaining audiences today. Its not-for-profit summer theatre has received international recognition with performances at two International Theater Festivals in Germany.

Huntington County Community School Corporation is comprised of one pre-school, seven K-5 elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. HCCSC serves all of Huntington County including the communities of Andrews, Bippus, Huntington, Majenica, Markle, Mt. Etna, Roanoke, and Warren.
