Join us every Friday night in October beginning at 6:00 p.m. (yes, after the library has closed!) for this fun, after hours event. Bring a blanket, a pillow, or someone to grab onto! Popcorn will be provided.
10/5: The Bride of Frankenstein

Surviving the windmill fire that brought the original 1931 Frankenstein to a close, the Monster (Boris Karloff) quickly revives and goes on another rampage. Meanwhile, his ailing creator Henry Frankenstein discovers that his former mentor, the demented Dr. Praetorius, plans to create another life-sized monster — this time a woman! Directed by James Whale.

It doesn’t get much scarier when you team director Roger Corman with star Vincent Price in a movie based on a short story by Edgar Allan Poe! Francis Barnard travels in 16th century Spain to investigate the strange circumstances of his sister’s death after she marries the son of a cruel Spanish Inquisitor.
10/19: The Ghost and Mr. Chicken

Don Knotts stars in this crowd-pleaser about a would-be newspaper reporter who dares to spend a night in a haunted mansion that 20 years before was the site of a now famous murder-suicide. With the aid of his friend Kelsey, they discover exactly what happened that night long ago…and the identity of the real killer!
10/26: A Quiet Place

John Krasinski (TV’s The Office), wrote, produced, directed and stars in this tense thriller set in the not-so-distant future about a family who must live in complete silence to avoid creatures that hunt through sound. The parents, (Krasinski and real life wife Emily Blunt), must come up with ingenious ways to protect their children and outsmart the terrifying monsters as they attempt to go about their daily lives.
