April brings the Easter Bunny to the Huntington and Markle Libraries once again this year for the annual Stories with the Easter Bunny and the Baby Bunny Bash. The bunny will hop his way to the Markle Branch Library Friday, April 7, at 4:45 p.m. and Saturday, April 8, at 1:30pm for Stories with the Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny will read stories to children ages preschool and up, and will be available for pictures after story time. Baby Bunny Bash will take place Wednesday, April 12, at 10 a.m. for children age birth through 3 years at the Huntington Library. Bringing a camera to both programs is encouraged, and special thanks go to Psi Iota Xi sorority for helping sponsor the Easter Bunny’s visits.
The Huntington Library will host some crafty DIY programs for teens and adults in April as well. Teens can make recycled magazine coasters Wednesday, April 12 at 6 p.m. The library will provide the magazines and glue – teens just need to come ready to shred some magazines and create some really cool and unique coasters. Adults can come create paper flowers and succulents in our first of many DIY @ HCTPL programs Tuesday, April 18 at 6 p.m. Participants can make paper flowers and succulents for centerpieces, home decor, gifts, and more. All materials and instruction will be provided, but registration is required so the library can make sure there’s enough paper to go around. Both the magazine coasters and paper flowers programs are free for all participants.
