Ever curious what it takes to brew beer from your own home? The Huntington Library will host a workshop for those looking to craft their own beer on Saturday, February 11th at 1pm. The Huntington Beer Collective, a recreational beer brewing club in Huntington, will walk attendees through supplies, ingredients, various methods, and other details those wishing to start the hobby will need to know. The workshop is free to the public.
RootsTech is the largest global genealogy conference, and this year it’s being held in Salt Lake City, Utah from February 8th through the 11th. RootsTech is on a mission to inspire, educate, and empower people of all ages to discover and connect generations of their family—past, present, and future—through technology. One way that RootsTech does that is by providing attendees with a lineup of exciting and world-class speakers each morning during the general session. This year, Roots Tech will be livestreaming many of their sessions, and the Indiana Room at the Huntington Library will have the feed set up from the 8th through the 11th so that those interested can experience the conference without the travel or cost. Stop by the Indiana Room anytime to listen in on what’s being discussed this year in the intersection between genealogy and technology. More information on the conference, as well as a schedule of talks and sessions, can be found on the RootsTech website at https://www.rootstech.org.
