National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing. On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30. Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought fleetingly about writing a novel. The Huntington Library’s Wordsmiths Writing Group will hold weekly Write-Ins for anyone who wishes to participate in this year’s session. Visit from 6-8pm every Tuesday in November and write in a cozy, quiet space. The library will provide the coffee, tea, and laptops (if needed), so all you need to bring is your creativity!
Children in grades 1-6 are invited to the Markle Library Monday, October 17th at 4:30pm for a pumpkin-themed activity session! There will be pumpkin trivia, a pumpkin-themed relay, a pumpkin roll, and more. Snacks will also be provided.
