Couponing can be a relaxing hobby that reaps financial rewards, but it can be intimidating to start. Library staff member and avid couponer Jessi Brown is here to teach you the basics in the Huntington Library’s Couponing 101 program. Join Jessi at 2pm on Saturday, October 22nd to learn the ins and outs of couponing — from organizing your coupons to where to find the best coupons to how you can combine coupons and store sales to work in your favor. The program is free and geared towards adults.
The Huntington Library will also have a variety of activities for students in the HCCSC who are on fall break next week. Monday will feature both the Teen Book Club (discussing A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness) and the movie Beetlejuice (rated PG); Wednesday will be host to a Teen Video Game Freeplay session, with multiple games and consoles available from 1-3pm; Thursday will have the monthly Chess Club (for grades 3-12) at 6pm; and Friday will feature a Costume Makeup FX class led by library staff member and avid cosplayer Courtney Kilander.
Saturday, October 15th will also feature a Halloween Paper Crafts passive program for adults. Stop by anytime between 2-3:30pm to make a variety of spooky paper crafts, including black cats, pumpkins, garlands and more.
