The Huntington Library’s Home School Open House, taking place Thursday, September 8th from 1-3pm, is an opportunity for parents and homeschool teachers to discover materials and services the library has to offer for homeschooling families and programs. The event will feature a child activity, library tours, an exploration of print & online resources and an opportunity to meet and chat with library staff. The program is geared towards adults, but parents are encouraged to bring their children as well.
Celebrate the flavors of Indiana with the Huntington Library’s Taste of Indiana event! Kicking off at 10:30am Saturday, September 10th with a sugar-cream pie tasting contest, the program will last all day and feature Indiana art, samples of a variety of Indiana-geared food, and other celebrations of our state. Patrons are encouraged to enter their sugar cream pie in our contest (which will be judged by age range), with all pies then sampled from 2-4pm by all in attendance. Other food we’ll have samples of include tenderloins, corn pudding, popcorn, and more. The program is open for all ages!
To sign up for the pie contest or for more information on these upcoming events, contact the Adult Services department at 260-356-0824 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
