If you’ve ever wanted to pick up quilting but didn’t know where to start, well, now you do! The Huntington Library will hold a Quilting 101 series of beginner quilting classes, with the first class taking place Saturday, May 21st at 10am. The first class will be two hours long, and there will be 6 classes total. The first class will cover the project to be tackled, as well as the supplies participants will need to complete it. A sewing background will make this class easier but isn’t necessary. Class spots are limited, so registration is required. While the class is free, participants will be asked to purchase some supplies for the end product (so that each can use the style of fabric he or she wishes) and a sewing machine or the desire/ability to hand-sew will be needed.
The Huntington Library is calling all teenage Whovians across time and space to their Doctor Who Fandom Support Group meeting! Teen fans and followers of the Doctor can come to the Huntington Library Wednesday, May 25 at 6pm for an evening of themed snacks, games and fun. This is a cosplay friendly event!
To register for the Quilting 101 session, please call the Huntington Library at 260-356-0824 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
