Oftentimes the hardest part of getting something accomplished is getting started. Computers can be complicated; getting started using one can be complicated as well. The Huntington Library aims to make this easier with a Computer Basics class at 1pm Tuesday, October 13th, during which library staff will cover the basics of computer use and doing simple tasks. Staff will also explain the various parts of the computer—such as the monitor, keyboard, and mouse—give a brief introduction to Microsoft Windows, and teach participants how to navigate around their desktops. This class is designed for adults who are very new to computers; after attending, participants will leave with the basic skills and comfort necessary for simple computer and software use. Participants are welcome to bring their own computer or use one the library will provide.
The Huntington Library is located at 255 West Park Drive, Huntington, 46750. For more information on the class, as well as our one-on-one technology help, call or email the Reference Desk at 260-356-0824 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
