This October the Huntington Library will be piloting a new program to share books in our community. The Pass It On Book Share program will give free books to people in the community using a book wagon that library staff will take to various locations in Huntington. The goal is to get books out of the library and into the hands of people who need them.
Between October 12th and 31st, library staff members will be making stops around Huntington with the book wagon. Staff will be making at least 6 planned stops with the possibility of pop-up stops at random times and places. A variety of books will be available for adults, teens, and children. All of the books will be free for everyone, no library card required. Show your library card at any stop, however, to receive a free gift as well. All the library asks is that you pass the books on to someone else when you are finished with them, with the hope that we can all work together to create a community of readers.
Specific dates and times will be announced closer to the program’s start date. To follow up on the program, visit the library’s website at http://hctpl.info or follow the library on Facebook.
