The Huntington Library, in conjunction with Canine Companions, is now accepting signups for the Paws-To-Read fall sessions. Paws-To-Read allows children to practice their reading skills by reading aloud to a registered therapy dog. Children who participate in Paws-To-Read nationwide show improved reading skills & self-esteem, find reading more enjoyable, and feel more pride in their accomplishments.
Sessions will be held free of charge on select Saturday mornings in October and November at the Huntington Main Library (255 West Park Drive, Huntington). Children ages 6-12 can participate, and sessions fill up quickly. Please call the Youth Services desk at 260-356-2900 to sign up or for more information.
