March will bring a new monthly club to the Huntington Library! The Pins & Needles group is a monthly informal gathering for those with a passion for needle-based crafts — such as knitting and crocheting — as well as anyone who is new to the various needlecrafts and would like to learn from the other members of the club.
Each meeting, bring your current works-in-progress or supplies to learn or begin a new project, and enjoy the company and instruction of other Huntington needleworkers. Anyone with a passion for needlework — or looking for a fun, relaxing hobby — is welcome to join. The club is free to participants, but supplies will not be provided. The Pins & Needles needlework group will meet at 6pm every first Monday of each month, with its inaugural meeting Monday, March 2nd at 6pm at the Huntington Main Library, 255 West Park Drive, Huntington. For more information, please call the Reference Desk at 356-0824.
If you’re looking for more fun ways to spend your evenings at the library but needlework is not your cup of tea, the Huntington Library offers a variety of other clubs and organizations as well! The Huntington County Genealogy Society meets every 1st Wednesday of the month at 7pm; Fiction Lovers’ Book Club is an adult fiction book club that meets every 2nd Tuesday at 6:30pm; Teen Book Club is open to all teens ages 13-18 and meets every 3rd Thursday at 5pm; and the Fabulous Foodies cookbook club meets every 4th Thursday at 6pm. Call the Main Library at 356-0824 or visit our website at http://hctpl.info for more information on these or any other library events!
