The Huntington City-Township Public Library is pleased to announce that the Board of Trustees has agreed to engage the services of krM Architecture to design a new library building in Markle. The Library has signed a purchase agreement with the Town of Markle to purchase the land on which the current city building is located. This land will eventually become the site of the new Markle Branch Library. A Building Committee has been formed including Library staff, members of the Library Board of Trustees, and representatives of the Town of Markle. At this time, the library is engaged in the process of determining its needs and designing a new building. It will be some time before the process is complete; however, the library wants to ensure the citizens of Markle that it is moving forward. The library thanks everyone in Markle for their support and looks forward to providing high quality library service for the community.
