Local genealogists can rejoice! Patrons and visitors to the Huntington City-Township Public Library and Markle Branch can now use Ancestry.com for free. Ancestry.com operates a network of genealogical and historical record websites, giving users access to billions of genealogy records including Census, SSDI & Military records. Anyone — patron or visitor — can stop by the Huntington Main Library, 255 West Park Drive, Huntington, or the Markle Branch, 197 East Morse Street, and use the genealogy website. It can only be used within either library, on either a personal laptop or library computer. An active library card is not required. Whether a novice or experienced genealogist, the Indiana Room staff are available to assist you in using Ancestry.com, as well. You can access the website via the link below, as well as from our Online Databases and Indiana Room pages on our website.
