In celebration of Teen Read Week, the Huntington City-Township Public Library will host a dream catcher craft for teens in grades 6-12. Teen Read Week is a national teen literacy initiative created by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA). It began in 1998 and is held annually during the third week of October. Its purpose is to encourage teens to be regular readers and library users. This year’s Teen Read Week theme is “Turn Dreams Into Reality”, so teens are invited to take part in the free dream-themed craft at 6:30pm on Wednesday, October 15th at the Huntington Main Library, 255 West Park Drive, Huntington. Participation is limited to the first 24 teens who sign up, so make sure to register for the event by contacting Jessi Brown at 260-356-0824 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
