Thinking of going paperless? Need a way to organize your recipe collection or simplify genealogical or school research? Huntington City-Township Public Library presents Remember Everything with Evernote, a workshop on using the popular note-taking and organization app, at 6 pm on Wednesday, August 6th at the Main Library, 255 West Park Drive, Huntington. Evernote makes it easier to keep track of things big and small from your everyday life using your computer, tablet, phone and the web. Designed to help users stay organized in ways that go far beyond a notebook, Evernote makes it easy to add text, images, audio, scanned documents, files, and more to notebooks, synchronize them across multiple devices, and quickly find anything with powerful search tools that can even recognize text inside images.
HCTPL’s Evernote workshop will introduce the basic functions of Evernote, including note creation, notebook management, tagging, synchronizing, using the Web Clipper to save information from websites, and sharing notes and notebooks with others. The session will include real-world examples of how library staff members are using Evernote to go paperless at home or at the office, organize recipe collections, and serve as a virtual genealogy research archive.
This workshop is free and the public is invited. Attendees are highly encouraged to bring their laptop, tablet, or mobile device. Registration is appreciated but not required. To register, call the library at 260-356-0824 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and contact information.
