Huntington City-Township Public Library invites kids and teens in grades 4 – 12 to come have More Fun than Florida! at the Library’s upcoming Spring Break events, to be held during the week of April 1 – 5.
Tuesday, April 2nd – Make a Duct Tape Wallet!
At 3pm on Tuesday, April 2nd, learn how to make an amazing wallet out of duct tape that you can really use! All supplies will be provided, but registration is a must for this workshop, as space is limited. Call the Children’s Department at 260-356-2900 to register as soon as possible.
Thursday , April 4 – Test your skills at our Game Day!
Do you like board games? Are you a Wii champion? Bring your gaming skills (or come and make some new ones) at the Library’s Game Day, which runs from 3pm – 6pm on Thursday, April 4 at the Main Library. We’ll have board games, Wii games, card games and more! This is a free event, and no registration is required. Bring your own snacks and drinks, if you wish.
Friday, April 5 – Free Movie & Popcorn @ Your Library!
Join us from 3pm – 5pm on Friday, April 5 for a free showing of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, where the hysterically funny, best-selling book by Greg Kinney comes to life in this family comedy film. Wimpy kid Greg Heffley is headed for big things, but first he has to survive the scariest, most humiliating experience of any kid’s life – middle school! That won’t be easy, considering he’s surrounded by hairy-freckled morons, wedgie-loving bullies and a moldy slice of cheese with nuclear cooties…
This is a free event, and no registration is required. Free popcorn will be provided; bring your own additional snacks and drinks, and any beanbags, canvas chairs, or other comfortable seating, if you wish.
All of these events are free and are designed for grades 4 – 12; however, kids in grades 2 & 3 are welcome to attend if accompanied by an older sibling or parent. All will take place at the HCTPL Main Library, 255 West Park Drive, Huntington. For more information, or to register for an event, call Huntington City-Township Public Library at 260-356-2900.
