Huntington Library hosts Star Wars Movie Marathon Friday, October 19

Long Ago, In A Galaxy Far, Far, Away, George Lucas released the first film of what became a two-trilogy, six-movie series, a little movie that’s now known as Star Wars Episode IV:  A New Hope, although at the time, was simply entitled, Star Wars.  It was an immediate worldwide sensation, and was followed in 1980 by Star Wars Episode V:  The Empire Strikes Back.  In 1983, the original trilogy was completed by the release of Star Wars Episode VI:  The Return of the Jedi, in which everyone finally discovered
what happened to Han Solo, who Princess Leia really loved, and who Luke Skywalker’s father turned out to be after all.

Help the Library celebrate the 35th year of Star Wars mania by coming to the Huntington City-Township Public Library at 9:30 am on  Friday, October 19th for an all-day Star Wars Movie Marathon featuring  the “original” Star Wars Trilogy:  A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi.  Our movie marathon will begin promptly at 9:30 am in the meeting room at the Main Library, and continue until 5pm.  Bring beverages and sack lunches or snacks, and a bean bag chair or other comfortable seating if you wish.  All three movies are rated PG, and no registration is required to attend. Got questions?  Call the library at 356-0824.
